Life Unscripted ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle data within our mobile application.
1. No Collection of Personal Information
Life Unscripted does not collect any personally identifiable information (PII).
- We do not require accounts, usernames, or passwords.
- We do not ask for, store, or transmit your real name, email address, phone number, or physical address.
- Anonymization of User Input: Any custom names or text entered by the user (such as character names or custom scenarios) remain local to your device. When using online features, these are automatically replaced with auto-generated placeholders to ensure privacy.
2. Data Usage and Features
A. Game Data and "Share" Feature
Life Unscripted is designed to be a local experience. Most game data is stored directly on your device. We offer a "Share" feature for users who wish to share their progress:
- What is stored: When you use the Share feature, a snapshot of your current game state is uploaded to Google Firebase. All custom user-provided names are removed and replaced with auto-generated generic names during this process. This ensures the shared data is 100% anonymous.
- Retention: This data is stored temporarily for 10 minutes to facilitate the sharing process, after which it is automatically deleted from our servers.
B. Advertising (Google AdMob)
We use Google AdMob to serve advertisements. AdMob may collect certain data to provide relevant ads, including:
- Device Identifiers: Such as the Android Advertising ID.
- Approximate Location: Derived from your IP address for localized advertising.
- Ad Interaction Data: Information on which ads you view or click.
3. Children's Privacy
Life Unscripted is intended for individuals aged 18 and over. Because we do not collect personal information, names, or contact details from any user, we do not knowingly collect or solicit personal data from children under the age of 13. If you believe any anonymous data has been stored inadvertently, please contact us.
4. Third-Party Sharing and Security
We do not sell, trade, or share your data with outside parties for their own marketing purposes.
- Service Providers: We use Google Firebase (for temporary sharing) and Google AdMob (for advertising).
- Encryption: All data transmitted to these services is encrypted in transit using industry-standard SSL/TLS protocols.
5. Data Deletion
- Temporary Share Data: Deleted automatically after 10 minutes.
- Local Data: To delete local progress, clear the app cache or uninstall the application.
